“Comment GUIDE and I’ll send the link” should lead to a clear response. Alpha Studio’s Automations lets you choose the interaction, keyword and exact DM in one setup. You do not need to create a separate resource first.

1. Choose when the automation starts

Start from a quick template for a guide, booking details, collaboration enquiries or a Story resource reply. You can also write your own automation.

Choose a supported trigger: Post or Reel comment, Instagram DM keyword, Story reply keyword or Story mention keyword. For comment-to-DM, choose an owned post or use any received eligible post or Reel.

2. Add the words or phrases

Use up to 10 comma-separated keywords or phrases, such as GUIDE, SEND GUIDE or LINK BHEJO. Matching ignores case and punctuation in the incoming text, while preserving complete-word boundaries and the order of words in a phrase.

Specific-post automations take priority over any-post automations. Only the first matching automation runs for an incoming event; older matching automations take priority within the same post scope.

3. Write the DM they receive

Write the exact message and an optional HTTPS link, or choose an existing Saved reply. The message and link together must fit within 1,000 characters. Saving a new message also makes it available for reuse.

Instagram DM automation can deliver a guide, requested resource, event link or booking page. It sends the saved response you approved; AI does not invent a new message for every recipient.

Save draft, preview, then go live

Save draft does not send a message. Use Preview to test a comment or DM and inspect the outgoing response without sending it. Then choose Go live when the trigger, message, permissions and connected events are ready.

Comment triggers allow one private reply within seven days. DM and Story replies require an eligible incoming interaction within the normal 24-hour messaging window. A private reply to a comment does not, by itself, open that window for follow-up messages.

Manage your automations

Search by name, keyword or saved reply and filter by status or trigger. Duplicate an automation into a draft, review its keyword and post, then choose whether to go live. A duplicate uses the same saved reply and starts inactive.

Pause an automation when a promotion ends. Changing a saved reply pauses linked automations and cancels pending sends so you can review the updated text first.

Check Activity for delivery results. Instagram accepting a message does not prove it was read or that its link was clicked.
