A suspicious post needs a clear record before it needs a confident label. NAZAR’s Cases & reporting lets you organize a concern, preserve the source link and record the outcome without waiting for an automated monitoring alert.

Save the source and the reason for concern

Create a case from a supported Instagram post or profile link. Choose the category that best describes what you can see: suspected deepfake, impersonation, voice misuse, content reuse or another identity concern. Add a short title and private notes.

Saving a link records your concern. It does not fetch the linked page, run a face match, search the internet or confirm that manipulation occurred. Keep observations separate from assumptions: a copied profile photo, a claim of affiliation and a suspected face swap are different pieces of evidence.

Review the original context

Open the original post or profile on Instagram. Check its username, caption, date and any claim that the content is genuine or authorized. A fan page, parody, repost or collaborator needs different context from an account pretending to be you.

Record what supports the concern and retain screenshots separately when useful. Do not add sensitive documents or other people’s private information to case notes. NAZAR notes are limited to 2,000 characters so the record stays focused.

Keep an accountable case timeline

Use the case status to track what still needs review, what you reported and what is resolved. Updates remain attached to the case. If another browser tab has changed the record, refresh and review the latest version before saving over it.

A resolved case is your workspace decision, not proof that Instagram removed the content. Recheck the source and record the outcome you actually observed. You can keep separate cases for an impersonating account and a particular manipulated post when they require different follow-up.

Download a summary for your own records

Download the plain-text evidence summary to keep the source, concern, notes and recorded history together. Treat it as a private working record. It is not a forensic certification, a legal determination or an automatically submitted platform report.

NAZAR keeps up to 500 cases per account and expires saved case records after 90 days. Download a record you need to keep longer and store it appropriately. Deleting a case removes its saved workspace evidence, so review the confirmation carefully.

Choose the next action on Instagram

Use Instagram’s reporting controls for the concern you have actually identified. You submit the report on Instagram; the platform decides enforcement. NAZAR does not guarantee takedown or report an account automatically.

Identity references, monitoring coverage and manual cases are distinct parts of NAZAR. Check Coverage & activity for actual recorded source checks rather than treating an empty alert list as proof that your identity is safe everywhere.
