Your face is part of your identity and your work. A manipulated video or face swap can make an unfamiliar post look like it belongs to you. NAZAR’s deepfake protection workflow brings your confirmed identity references and possible misuse evidence into one place.
What does deepfake protection mean here?
NAZAR focuses on identity misuse review in supported Instagram media. Its scope is accessible mentions and tags around your connected account, with supported image, video-frame and speech checks. It does not scan every Instagram account or verify the truth of every statement in a video.
A possible match is a reason to inspect the evidence. It does not, by itself, establish that a post is a deepfake or that its publisher had malicious intent.
Face swaps, fake reels and personal brand protection
A face-swap reel, manipulated endorsement or AI impersonation can borrow the trust attached to your image. For a creator, personal brand protection means checking both the media and the claim: does the post imply that you said, promoted or agreed to something? Preserve the original context and review the supported evidence before labeling an incident.
Start with face references you can confirm
Connect the Instagram Creator or Business account you manage. In identity setup, review photos from your own accessible posts and confirm references that represent your face. Face enrollment requires separate consent; connecting Instagram alone does not enroll an identity.
Choose clear references from different posts. Photos of someone else, text-only graphics and unclear faces cannot establish your identity. Your confirmed references are encrypted and can be managed separately from your comment moderation and creator profile.
Review a suspected face swap or manipulated video
Open the incident and inspect the available media, original post and matching evidence together. Ask whether the post is a repost, quotation, parody, authorized collaboration or possible misuse. Identity similarity and manipulation signals help with review; they do not replace your judgment.
NAZAR provides incident outcomes such as Not me, Not a deepfake, Dismiss and I reported this. Keep your decisions attached to the incident so your next review has context.
Keep the next action in your control
Preserve the original post link and relevant screenshots before deciding whether to report. Use Instagram’s reporting controls on the original content. Instagram decides removal; NAZAR does not promise automatic takedowns.
You can pause protection or delete your enrolled face and voice references from NAZAR Settings. Identity reference deletion does not delete your Instagram account.
